Ravi Desai (Lead)
I received my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, USA), and PhD in Bioengineering from University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA). I completed a 5 year post-doc in a Developmental Biology lab based at the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics (Dresden, Germany), National Institute for Medical Research (London), Lincolns Inn Fields (London) and University College London. In January 2017 I began my post as Head of the Making Science & Technology Platform at the Francis Crick Institute. I am passionate about microenvironmental control of cell function in space and time.
Oscar Zabaco (BioDevices Project Coordinator)
I hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Master’s in Optics, Master’s in Polymer Science, Master’s in Biotechnology and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. I owned and operated a BioDevices Prototyping Business in Barcelona prior to beginning my current post as Making Science & Technology Platform BioDevices Project Coordinator in May 2017.
Christina Dix (Laboratory Research Scientist)
I hold a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and PhD in Cell Biology (University College London). I began my current position in November 2017.
